Ultra Seven exhibition

Another Ultraman anniversary. This time around we are celebrating Ultra Seven's 50th anniversry.

Ultra fans only have time until August 28 to catch this exhibition at Takashima department Store in Yokohama. The exhibition website features some kickass images and pop-up tricks. Check it out!

Pikachu outbreak in Yokohama!!!

This news is a few days old but what the hell, this is Pikachu after all. And let's not forget the brand-new Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You that hit the Japanese big screens on July 15.

However the more than 100 Pikachus that danced and paraded in Yokohama were part of a festival celebrating the mobile phone game Pokemon Go.

 If you are reading this blog you probably already know everything about Pokemon Go (it is even featured in my Tokyo Geek's Guide on page 17) while if you are hunting for Pokemon goods in Tokyo arguably the best place to check out is Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo inside the Sunshine City building in Ikebukuro (p. 99 of my guide).
